Welcome message
On behalf of the local organizing committee, I would like to welcome all of you to Bratislava, Slovak Republic for the 10th Jubilee Meeting of the European Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences on October 28th to October 30th, 2024.
The International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences (IACS) is a unique, scientific organization promoting cardiovascular science, networking and mobility of students, and fellows. The first meeting of the European Section of the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences (IACS-ES) was held in Balatongyörök, Hungary, October 8-11, 2015 and was organized regularly each year except for 2020 due to the COVID pandemic. In 2024, there will be the 10th Jubilee Meeting of the IACS-ES.
The 10th annual meeting of the IACS-ES will provide a platform for basic and clinical scientists to present their new findings. It will feature keynote lectures given by distinguished speakers and will also promote the young scientists in their careers through scientific discussion, interaction and networking.
The motto of the 10th Jubilee Meeting of the IACS-ES conference is
“Know the heart: novel insights into prevention and treatment of heart disease to live and promote a healthy lifestyle“.
The scientific topics of the 10th Meeting of the IACS-ES will include:
- Cardiac inflammation and immunology
- Women’s heart: when gender matters
- Cardiac ageing
- Inter-organ communication in heart disease
- Extracellular vesicles and the cardiovascular system
- Cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmias
