Conference closing and Awards ceremony

The Conference Closing Ceremony will be held in the Primate`s Palace. It is located in the heart of Bratislava, within walking distance of the Conference Venue – the Tatra Hotel.

The Primate’s Palace is one of the most beautiful classicist buildings in Slovakia and today it serves as the seat of Mayor of Bratislava. Its most famous chamber is the Hall of Mirrors, where Napoleon signed a peace treaty ‘The Peace of Pressburg’ in 1805.

Other unique representative premises of the palace will also be open for the conference delegates upon the gala dinner. You will see St. George’s (the dragon slayer) Fountain in the courtyard, the Chapel of Saint Ladislaus, the exhibition of portraits of the Habsburg monarchs, period furniture and a collection of 17th-century Gobelins made in an English Royal weaving factory.  A unique series of six English tapestries from the 17th century depict the legend of the tragic love of Hero and Leander and were found during a reconstruction behind a wall.
